As part of their GCSE studies students from The High School Ballynahinch were given the opportunity to visit Downe Midwifery Led Unit in Downpatrick. Sister Tracey Magowan explained how the maternity services provide antenatal care for all women regardless of risk. Pupils were given a tour of the up to date facilities available in the birthing rooms and information on alternatives for the mother to be on ‘coping with pain’.
